About Maureen
I was strong for a long time. I just wasn't using any of it on myself.
Maureen Brintnell — founder of Alpha Momma, known as The Alpha Momma. Certified personal trainer and nutrition and wellness coach. Mother of nine, grandmother.

For years I was the capable one. The dependable one. I homeschooled, managed the household logistics, showed up for the people I loved, and quietly put myself last on a list I never quite reached the bottom of. I wasn't weak, and I wasn't failing. I was carrying a great deal — and doing it well — while gradually leaving myself out of the care I gave everyone else.
Somewhere in that season my health slipped to the poorest it had ever been. Sleep got unreliable. Energy got thin. My body started to feel unfamiliar. I tried the things that promised results, but none of them fit a real life with a full family for very long.
Eventually I stopped looking for a program that would fix me and started learning how to actually care for myself — slowly, practically, inside the life I already had. I lost about 80 pounds along the way, but the deeper change was learning to spend some of my strength on my own behalf. That's the shift I now help other women make.
I'm not a physician, and I don't diagnose or treat menopause symptoms. I'm a coach. I read the research, I hold real credentials, and I build plans around the way your week actually runs — kids, work, interrupted sleep, changing hormones, and weeks that don't go to plan. My nutrition coaching is practical habit coaching — it isn't medical nutrition therapy or a replacement for a registered dietitian or your doctor.
How That Shapes How I Coach
I start with where you are, not where a program thinks you should be.
I build for messy weeks, because life with a full family is always a little messy.
I care about strength, protein, and sleep — but I care about you keeping them, not about perfection.
